Pawlicies & Procedures
Safety First
Because we are Pet First Aid & CPR Certified, we are trained to handle senior pets and those with minor medical needs. While we do not require proof of vaccination, we still require to keep your vet's information on file so that we are better equipped to respond in the event of an emergency. On our new client form, we ask for permission to seek emergency medical care, in your stead, during the unlikely event that your pet requires major medical attention. Please understand that this emergency medical care may be at your expense if the groomer is deemed not at fault by a medical professional.
Sanitation Standards
We utilize 2025-certified sanitation protocols. All tools and tubs are deep-cleaned between every single client to prevent the spread of bacteria or parasites.
Coat Condition
Our priority is the comfort of your dog. If a coat is severely matted, we follow a "humanity over vanity" policy. A "reset" shave may be recommended in circumstances where brushing would cause pain or damage to the skin. Dematting fees may apply due to the extra wear on our equipment and the extra time it takes to safely separate the matting from the skin.
Cancellation Policy
Life happens! But so does running a small business. While I completely understand that children get sick, work runs late, something unexpected comes up, or sometimes we just forget; when you book an appointment with me that time is reserved especially for you. As a small business, if that appointment is missed or cancelled last minute, that time cannot be refilled. Chances are, if you're employed you get paid whether someone cancels a meeting or not. Small business owners don't have that same safety net. My time is my livelihood. When an appointment is missed, I do not get paid for that time.
50% of your appointment fee applies for no-shows.
50% of your appointment fee applies for cancellations within 24 hours.
Life happens to all of us! A one-time forgiveness is offered for the first no-show or last minute cancellation.
Thank you for understanding and thank you for respecting the time reserved just for you.
Your support genuinely means a lot.
Late Policy
Your appointment time is reserved just for you and we look forward to serving you and your furry family member! Sometimes we run late - the train passes through, traffic is crazy, weather is unpredictable, we oversleep - we get it! However, we have multiple pets to attend to in any given day and families to go home to when we're done. Because of this, we can't always accept appointments that are running behind.
In the event you are running behind, please give us a call to let us know your estimated arrival time, so we can appropriately adjust our day to accommodate you. If we do not hear from you within 5-10 minutes past your scheduled start time, we will give you a call.
Any appointment that exceeds being 20 minutes late past their schedules start time may be considered a no-show and subject to our cancellation policy. If your groomer is still able to accommodate you past the 20 minute mark, it is up to their discretion.
Once again, thank your for your understanding and respecting the time reserved just for you!
